The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance laboratory-scale biotrickling filters (BTFs) packed with composite filler and pine bark under different operating conditions in purifying mixed gas containing H2S NH3. prepared modified activated carbon loaded functional microbes, using microbial immobilization technology combined a nutrient sustained-release filler. results showed that could better adapt low empty bed retention time (EBRT) high inlet concentration than When EBRT 40 s load 41 g/m3·h, NH3 removal efficiency kept above 80%, when 61.5 it be stabilized at about 60%. exceeds 34 s, two BTFs maintained 100%. Yet, BTF dropped <80%. diversity richness were significantly higher those BTF, which had community similarity each working condition. However, proportion predominant bacteria BTF.
